We rode our bicycles across the Plains of St. Augustine. The dirt and wind was in our faces. It was the most miserable part of the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. I breathed too much dust and was sick for a week after the ride. I learned from that to always carry a medical mask and a handkerchief to keep the dust out of my nose and lungs.
